Position Overview

Build It. Own It. Finish It.
Gordon Sinclair | Promotional Products Supplier

This is not a “manage what exists” marketing role.
This is a build, shape, and elevate the entire function.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in autonomy — someone who doesn’t wait, doesn’t posture, and doesn’t need hand-holding. You see what needs to be built… and you build it — all the way through.

What This Role Really Is

You own marketing. Not pieces of it — all of it.

From brand strategy to trade shows, from distributor tools to product launches — you are the engine that connects product, sales, and story. You operate at a high level, but you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing.

You’re not driven by ego — you’re driven by outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Autonomous & self-directed — you don’t wait for direction, you create it

  • A true starter AND finisher — ideas are meaningless unless they’re executed

  • Proactive by nature — you anticipate needs before they’re spoken

  • Structured thinker — you bring order, process, and clarity

  • Persuasive communicator — you influence across teams and bring people with you

  • Cross-functional operator — you partner seamlessly with Sales, Product, and Operations

  • High standards, high accountability — you own results, not excuses

What You’ll Own

  • Brand & Strategy — define and elevate how Gordon Sinclair shows up in the market

  • Sales Enablement — build tools that help distributor reps win business

  • Product Launches — create campaigns that actually land and drive adoption

  • Digital Presence — ensure visibility across ESP, SAGE, ASI, and beyond

  • Trade Shows & Events — own execution from concept to follow-up

  • Team Leadership — guide design resources and external partners to deliver at a high level

What Success Looks Like

  • Sales reps are equipped, confident, and winning with your tools

  • New product launches create momentum — not noise

  • The brand is consistent, visible, and trusted across the industry

  • Marketing runs with clarity, process, and urgency — without constant oversight

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Strategy

  • Develop and maintain Gordon Sinclair's brand voice, visual identity, and positioning within the promotional products supplier market
  • Build annual marketing plans aligned with sales goals and new product roadmaps
  • Identify trends in the promo industry and translate them into timely campaigns and product stories

Distributor & Sales Enablement

  • Produce sales tools that empower our sales reps — including product idea decks, market-specific lookbooks, PowerPoint presentations, and category sell sheets
  • Build campaign assets targeted at distributor audiences through ESP, SAGE, and ASI platforms
  • Support key account meetings with custom collateral and co-branded presentations
  • Develop product launch kits for new items including photography briefs, sell sheets, digital assets, and launch email campaigns

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Manage Gordon Sinclair's presence on industry platforms (ESP, SAGE, ASI) ensuring product data, imagery, and descriptions are optimized
  • Oversee email marketing to distributor audiences including product announcements, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
  • Manage social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram) with content that engages both distributor partners and industry audiences
  • Maintain a content calendar that keeps Gordon Sinclair active and relevant throughout the promotional industry calendar

Trade Shows & Events

  • Lead planning and execution of Gordon Sinclair's presence at PPAI Expo, SAGE Show, regional distributor shows, and other key industry events
  • Coordinate booth graphics, product displays, giveaways, and pre/post-show promotional campaigns
  • Support company attendance at distributor open houses and regional events

Team & Project Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Marketing Design Specialist and any external vendors or agencies
  • Prioritize and manage the marketing project queue across multiple concurrent requests from Sales and Product teams
  • Track campaign performance and report on marketing ROI to leadership

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a B2B product-driven environment
  • Demonstrated experience building sales enablement tools and marketing campaigns
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring a direct report or external creative resource

Preferred

  • Experience in the promotional products industry (supplier, distributor, or agency side)
  • Familiarity with industry platforms: ESP, SAGE, ASI
  • Experience with trade show planning and execution
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or comfort reviewing/directing design work
  • Experience with PromoStandards or supplier product data management
