Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Representative to execute Gordon Sinclair’s growth strategy within assigned distributor accounts. This is a hands-on, high-activity role where you will follow a sales process to strengthen relationships, activate new opportunities, and drive measurable growth.
You will work closely with the Sales Director to implement targeted account plans, leverage provided tools and campaigns, and ensure Gordon Sinclair is a go-to supplier for your distributor partners. This position is ideal for someone with the strategic awareness to understand the “why” behind the plan, and the discipline to execute it with consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Growth & Development
- Manage a portfolio of distributor accounts, focusing on increasing revenue and share-of-wallet.
- Identify high-potential reps within each account and execute outreach and follow-up to grow business.
- Implement account plans developed in collaboration with leadership, tracking progress against defined KPIs.
- Consistently reinforce Gordon Sinclair’s value proposition, highlighting quality, service, and creative solutions.
2. Sales Process Execution
- Follow an established cadence for outreach, campaigns, and product launches to stay top-of-mind with distributor partners.
- Use provided sales tools, marketing materials, and product knowledge to present solutions that position Gordon Sinclair as a value partner.
- Report activity, opportunities, and results consistently through the CRM.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor reps, becoming their first call for Gordon Sinclair opportunities.
- Provide timely, professional responses to inquiries, sample requests, and project support.
- Escalate larger opportunities or challenges to leadership for collaboration and resolution.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in sales, preferably in the promotional products industry or a B2B environment.
- Proven ability to grow existing accounts and create opportunities through consistent outreach.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable using CRM tools to manage activity and pipelines.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to execute against leadership’s direction.
- Ability to travel for customer events, trade shows, and key account meetings
