Description

The Account-Based Marketer will be responsible for supporting high-value target (HVT) accounts identified by leadership to ensure the sales team has what they need to drive growth, audience engagement and increase awareness in these accounts. This is not a sales role, but a marketing role designed to support the sales team and their strategic activity. This role requires a multi-faceted external-facing marketer with a strong sense of accountability, and an understanding in in the importance of the brand and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HVT Accounts Activities: Collaborate with leadership and sales to effectively manage high-value target account relationships to ensure each has what they need to grow while balancing the needs of each with the resources available. Execute on account-specific marketing strategies.
  • Digital Marketing: Implement digital marketing campaigns tailored to HVT accounts, utilizing web, email, social, and industry platforms to maximize engagement with the target audiences.
  • Event Marketing: Plan and execute and staff events, including trade shows and meetings (as needed) focused on engaging HVT accounts. Coordinate with leadership and sales to review objectives, metrics and successful execution.
  • Direct Mail Campaigns: Create and send personalized direct mail campaigns to key contacts within HVT accounts. Track and analyze the effectiveness of DM campaigns in the sales cycle and account growth. Work with the sales team to refine the list of contacts for maximum efficacy.
  • Collateral Creation and Presentations: Create marketing collateral (emails, flyers, landing pages (with a Designer’s support) tailored to the needs of the sales team to address the particular HVT accounts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Account Growth: HVT account growth in partnership with sales and their KPIs; including increased number of new contacts with each HVT account. Email metrics, attendance metrics, campaign engagement.

 

  1. Relationship Development: Gain the confidence of 100% of account contacts in our identified HVT accounts, and internally, within the first year and develop a trusted, “call you first” with vendor relations contacts as time progresses.

 

  1. Effective Campaign Execution: 100% On budget, on timeline and within resources allocated as per plan to reach intended objective of the campaign; direct, online, in-person, etc.

 

  1. Problem Solving: Finding solutions to efficiently manage the many demands as well as hiccups that come with executing the mandate. Ability to manage the resources, adapt as needed, communicate changes, and deliver on the priority.

Qualifications & Desired Traits

  • Experience as a marketing generalist, B2B sales or similar roles.
  • Experience in brand management.
  • Eye for aesthetic.
  • Industry experience in promotional marketing.
  • Proven experience growing a digital community and use of posting and analytics.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, to make friends and influence people.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM tools.
  • A plus: familiarity with Netsuite CRM

Please note that event management work is physically demanding and requires you to move boxes, climb, and reach.

Some travel will be required to attend corporate meetings and HVT events in the US.
